Autism Support Worker


The role will be 5 days a week however, due to high demand, we do ave part time and more flexible options available in other areas.

Working hours are 8:30 - 3:30 Monday to Friday and the majority of your time will be spent supporting one child with their learning across the curriculum as well as helping to support their emotional and mental well-being.

This includes providing intervention to help the child develop social skills, build confidence and resilience and regulate their own emotions and corresponding behaviour independently.

Elements of the role will also include supporting the teacher with whole class learning and behaviour management as well as running interventions on a small group basis where necessary.

All intervention work will be provided, if not guided by the class teacher.

  • Be willing to work as a team, taking advice from other colleagues and senior members of staff as well as sharing their own ideas
  • Be enthusiastic and able to challenge and motivate all pupils

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
