SEN TA required to support Key Stage 2 children with a range of complex needs at a fantastic SEN school in Central Birmingham.

As a Teaching Assistant you will be working on a 1-2-1 and small group basis providing additional support for children with arange of needs including, Autism, ADHD, MLD and SLD.

You will join an experienced team of Teaching Assistants and a wonderful class teacher.

As a Teaching Assistant you will enjoy breaking down social and academic barriers, inspiring pupils, and making schoola safe and nurturing place for all.

Job role:

  • Providing 121 classroom support for a student with Special Educational Needs
  • Managing challenging behaviours and keeping student engaged
  • Providing sensory intervention sessions
  • Providing support on school trips and extracurricular activities
  • Working with the SENCO to ensure EHCPs are followed

Experience supporting children or adults with additional needs is essential for this role as you will be providing 1-2-1 support.

A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is preferable for this position.
