Description

Due to an increase in workload, my client, an leading engineering company based near in Oldham are looking to recruit a Quality Inspector to join their existing team on a permanent basis.

This position is based on days and available for an immediate start.

Hours - Mon - Fri

Overtime available all paid at premium rates.

Role Description

  • Check and approve standard documentation plus other supporting information.
  • Check/verify and approve NDE/NDT documentation.
  • Inspect and where applicable, compose findings reports on incoming part and finished components.
  • Inspect and where applicable compose findings reports on inhouse part and finished components
  • Carry our Final Article Inspection (FAI) inspection and validation of supplier reports and component parts.
  • Carry out various calibration and measurement verification of various pieces of measuring equipment.
  • Working with the team to ensure the varying demands on workload are achieved and provide ad hoc support in the Quality and Goods In as required.
  • Report/ liaise with the Quality team on quality issues.
  • Work with and support other areas of the business with regards to supplying technical support and assistance on matter of quality control and assurance
  • Contact suppliers to obtain certificates when deliveries are received without.
  • Assist in process audits involving outside auditors.
  • As part of carrying out duties, ensure all company policies and procedures are adhered (Health & Safety, Quality etc).
Skills & Attributes

  • Time served in a relevant engineering discipline
  • Conversant in the use of traditional measuring equipment Micrometers/Verniers
  • Experienced in the use of CMM/FaroArm advantageous
  • Experience as a Quality Inspector within an Engineering/ Manufacturing environment.
  • Experience inspecting machined/ fabricated components
  • NDT Qualifications (Advantageous)
