Job Purpose:


Working in a small, fast paced casting plant with tin based alloys, assisting in the manufacture and repair of white metal bearings for the power generation industry.


Responsibilities:


  • TIG Welding
  • Working with molten metal up to temperatures of 400 degrees.
  • Preparation work using shot blaster and preparation materials.
  • Using different methods ie. Centrifugal casting and gravity casting to bond the metals.

Knowledge, Skills, Education, Training and Experience:

  • 2 years TIG welding experience is essential.
  • Previous experience of working within a busy shop floor environment is desirable.
  • Manual Handling training and overhead crane training is desirable.
  • Must have proven teamworking skills.
  • Ability to plan and organise own work is required to ensure departmental objectives and deadlines are met whilst ensuring continual Quality of product.
  • Written and verbal skills are required to convey issues to your management and employees alike.

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
£11.50-£14.50 per hour
