We are looking to recruit a Property Services Maintenance Operative to join our team at Sparrows in Aberdeen.


The main purpose of the role is to carry out works required to repair, maintain and improve the buildings and facilities within Sparrows Offshore Services Limited.

Main responsibilities

  • Assist in all office / furniture moves
  • Check stock levels and deliver copier paper as required
  • Check and distribute tea, coffee and sugar to kitchen points
  • Assist in office refurbishment programmes
  • Participate in weekly office inspections
  • Assist/carry out weekly generator test
  • Empty office recycling bins and shredder machines
  • Minor maintenance and repair duties as needs arise
  • Assist in PPM programme
  • Any other duties as requested by Facilities Manager
HSEQ responsibilities

  • It is mandatory that the incumbent is familiar with the Company's HSEQ Policy and takes an active role in the compliance and improvement of Sparrows Integrated Management System. The incumbent must report any incidents, near misses, actual or potential problems with products, services or systems to their Line Manager.
  • The incumbent also has legal responsibilities under countryspecific health and safety legislation to follow all Company processes and procedures and familiarise themselves with the emergency response arrangements applicable to them. The incumbent is also responsible for the health and safety arrangements of subordinates (if any) and for any persons visiting them while on the Company premises.
Qualifications and experience

  • National 4 or 5 in Maths and English
  • Excellent communication skills with strong customer service focus.
  • Proactive, flexible, friendly, and reliable work ethic.
  • Clean & full UK driving licence
