We are looking for a Medical and Clinical Administrator to join our Adult Mental Health Services situated in Hall Court, Telford.

The Service offers mental health care and treatment across a variety of different age ranges and presentation.


The post holder will be working as part of a team along with other Medical and Clinical Administrators and Administrative Assistants.

The post holder will be expected to be able to use their own initiative and judgement, although they will be well supported by other Mental Health Admin staff and through the clinical and professional networks accessible through the community teams.

Able to work well in an ever changing multi-professional team - including but not limited to Consultants, Prescribers and GP's.

Our Medical & Clinical Administrators are an integral part of our Admin Team. The role is busy, challenging and rewarding.

We are currently looking for a Medical and Clinical Administrator working 37.5 hours per week, supporting the Adult Mental Health Services based in Telford.

What will the role entail?

Administration work for Consultant Psychiatrist/Doctors/Clinical Leads and other Mental Health Professionals

Typing clinical letters

Diary and clinic management for the Consultant Psychiatrist/Clinical Leads - scheduling appointments, supervisions etc.

Confidently handling complex queries of a challenging/sensitive nature

Concise & accurate message taking

Using own initiative to proactively resolve problems

Minute Taking

Day to Day operational tasks to support the Consultant Psychiatrist/Doctors/Clinical Leads and other Mental Health Professionals

What are we looking for?

Flexibility to meet service need with a passion for quality

Strong computer and keyboard skills

Experience of clinical systems (RIO or similar)

Resilience to work in a busy service

A passion for the care and support provided to our service users

Experience of working in the NHS or a healthcare setting

Ideally hold an NVQ level 3 admin or equivalent qualification/experience
