Our customer is a global manufacturer and a leader in their field.

They are in need of an experienced Production Technician to support a busy period of production at their Hampshire facility.


Interim Senior Production Technician - The Rewards
- £15/hr Umbrella/Ltd Company

Interim Senior Production Technician - Requirements

This would be an experienced Production Person in mechanical build and wiring of sub-assemblies to a minimum of IPC Standards.

They must be competent in reading Production Drawings and related information. They must have experience in cable assemblies (crimpterminations using hand crimp tools) to include coax cables, soldering of pin through hole and surface mount plus PCB rework

Interim Senior Production Technician - Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the build of products; from engineer drawings, circuit diagrams and wiring schematics.
  • Value Engineering where appropriate of both current and new assemblies to increase the value of the product either by improving its function or reducing its cost (or both).
  • Ensure that products are manufactured and assembled to meet or exceed the quality expectations of the company and its clients. Best practice methods to be used and company Design Guidelines to be followed.
  • Involvement with product test on a regular basis.
  • Involvement with diagnostics and repairs of products.
  • Collate and present detailed manufacturing and build records. Ensure route cards are completed accurately and timely. This includes updating on company MRP system as required.
  • Manage the calibration of tools and test equipment.
  • Support the Production Manager in keeping COSHH records up to date.
  • Liaise with the Production Manager on quality issues, technical problems and maintaining agreed production plans.
  • Responsible for ensuring that production facilities are clean, presentable and safe. Identify any issues to the management team.
  • Present weekly timesheet information.
  • Provide cover for the Stock & Logistics role in our small Operations team during periods of absence.
