Premier Engineering has engaged with a key client and a leading manufacturer of component & systems engineering & manufacturing serving the
Aerospace, Automotive, Defence, Power Generationindustries and the Industrial OEM market.

Whom specialise in design and analysis, precision manufacturing, instrumentation, assembly, component and subsystem test, in-house and on-site validationand test support using our state of the art instrumentation labs, machine shops and in-house test capabilities.

Key skills, Qualifications and Experience:

A completed Degree or HNC/HND qualification in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
At least 510 years of relevant professional experience
Understanding of manufacturing processes machining, welding / brazing, 3D printing, moulding, and coatings
Knowledge of electromechanical systems
Understanding of slip rings would be very beneficial but not essential as training will be provided.
Understanding of motion platform systems / traverse systems is desirable
Sound understanding of mechanical engineering design principles and analysis techniques
Some understanding of electrical and electronic engineering design principles would be beneficial
Proficient in Solidworks and / or Siemens NX for producing design models, engineering layouts and detail drawings
Experience of Teamcenter, Windchill or other PLM systems
The ability to work independently or as part of a team
Keen to learn new skills and develop new processes
Good communicator both verbally and written
Excellent time management and the ability to prioritise tasks

Role and Responsibilities:

Creation of design concepts / layouts
Creation of 3D models
Creation of detail drawings and design schemes to either ISO and / or ASME drawing standards
Creation of wiring diagrams
Creation of Gerber files for PCB manufacture
Creation of BoM's (Bill of Materials)
Performing any necessary calculations required to verify the design
Liaison with manufacturers to ensure parts can be manufactured / are being manufactured in the most costeffective way
When required preparation of presentation material for design reviews with customers and internal project managers
When required liaison directly with the customer to resolve design issues / be involved in design discussions on or off site
