Key Responsibilities Provide comprehensive support to the eRostering Manager and the eRostering initiative as a whole.

Provide day to day support to users of the system, analysing, investigating and resolving problems, errors and malfunction, and using own judgement on when to escalate to senior members of the eRostering team.

Process complex information in relation to identified problems. Use tact and persuasive skills as necessary, where there are barriers in understanding, in order to deliver appropriate solutions.

Provide system administration and support ensuring accurate maintenance of data within Healthroster, including Handling complex HealthRoster queries. Extracting relevant reports and data to support benefits realisation function/reporting. Interrogation of systems to ensure data accuracy and effective use. Carry out monthly extracts of payroll and absence data from the eRostering system to ESR.

Maintain high quality data within the system through regular data quality audits and data cleansing. Ensuring our data aligns with other trust systems, investigating where this isnt the case. Responsible for investigating system issues, reported errors. Resolving these or making recommendations for action or further review based on investigation findings.


Ensure that where identified system issues cant be resolved that they are escalated internally or externally to eRoster management team or system supplier as required.

Create, maintain and update appropriate records and user manuals.

Assist with the planning, organising and delivery of training for managers and staff; either individually or in groups as required.

Including arranging dates, managing the communication process, organising room bookings, training manuals, provide basic training to new users of the system and refresher training to existing users in terms of roster creation and maintenance.


Provide support to the eRostering manager in relation to any future upgrades to the eRostering software, including communication with system users and development of new or update user guide.

Use appropriate job knowledge, analysis and judgement to ensure that, during periods of team absence, any correspondence, telephone calls or other enquiries which require action are appropriately redirected to be dealt with in a timely manner.

Have a basic understanding of the main issues being dealt with by the eRostering Team in order to make appropriate judgements on the urgency and priority of actions and problems and where to direct these.

Manage own workload effectively to enable deadlines to be met.


This may involve liaison with other colleagues Build effective relationships with the wards, departments and line mangers to support the effective use of eRostering.

Impart knowledge and expertise to the rest of the eRostering team to support development of colleagues.

The post holder is expected, where required to cover the duties of colleagues in posts of the same pay band or lower and within the range of the post holders knowledge and skills.

Produce and distribute ad hoc reporting to support the Lead for eRostering
