Tenancy Sustainment Officer

LOCATION:

Purpose of role:

To provide effective tenancy management and to ensure all housing management functions are delivered to the highest of standards.


Daily Duties:


  • Conduct an overall service surrounding all features of housing management through voids and lettings and tenancy management.
  • Effectively deal with all tenancy breaches and antisocial behaviour, whether monitoring CCTV or sending letters, keeping in line with the process at every step.
  • Meet compliance targets, ensuring gas, electrical, legionella and various other terms of testing are complete within deadlines.
  • Maintain the collection of rent and arrears.
  • Take part in key stakeholder meetings, providing feedback and communicating with your colleagues of a good standard
  • Assist serviceusers with housing benefit and universal credit claims.
  • Achieve maximum satisfaction from a serviceuser perspective.
  • Complete tenancy signups.
  • Assist with the preparation for court paperwork and attendance
  • Be a great ambassador for the organisation, promoting positivity and professionalism with all serviceusers and stakeholders.
  • Maximise health and safety, conducting checks frequently to remain compliant within health and safety guidelines.
  • Ensure all safeguarding incidents are reported compliantly and dealt with professionally.
  • Maintain a property inventory and to replenish items where necessary.
  • Work with responsive repairs team, feeding back updates on repairs and the quality of service.

Essential requirements:


  • Experience as a housing management professional.
  • Experience dealing with ASB and rent arrears.
  • Good understanding of the benefits system.
  • Basic DBS within the last 12 months.
  • Full UK driving licence, access to own car and the ability to travel independently across your allocated patch.
  • Awareness of housing law.

Desirable requirements:


  • Knowledge of working with those with mixed mental health conditions and substance misuse.
