I am looking to recruit experienced behaviour support workers for a Specialist SEMH Provision in Wakefield. The positions commence immediately.

If you are currently looking for work options and have:

  • Team Teach training
  • Experience with deescalating behaviours
  • Experience working with children with significant social, emotional and mental health needs at any Key Stage.
  • Ideally worked in a special school or AP, or 121 with SEN children within a mainstream school.
  • An enhanced DBS certificate maintained on the update service.
The role with incolve working with children and young people who have been excluded from mainstream education. Each student will have an Educational Health and Care Plan for Social, Emotional and Behavioural needs.

Working alongside teachers and other 3rd party contractors, your role will involve building trust and confidence with learners to enable them to overcome barriers to learning and help improve their opportunities in later life.


We would welcome applicants with a sound knowledge of ACE's, Trauma Informed Practice, Restorative practice, Therapeutic support and Nurture groups, although the school offers full training around all of these and we welcome applicant with looking to expand their knowledge in these areas.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
