  • This role is a 912 months maternity cover that directly assists the Group Risk Chief of Staff with daytoday tasks, a hybrid of executive, personal and project assistant activities to support the Group Risk function.
What you'll be doing

  • Arrange Risk committees and external regulatory meetings and support the preparation of papers that cover the remit of the Risk function. Liaising with stakeholder's EAs and PAs, and ensuring presentations and materials are of high quality and are provided to the Committee on a timely basis.
  • Plan and prepare required agendas and minutes, ensuring agendas are defined sufficiently in advance, and any associated PowerPoint presentations or Excel spreadsheets are to a high standard ensuring actions points from previous meetings can be quickly addressed.
  • Support in organising townhalls, regular team meetings, events i.e., Away Days and Conferences (held physically or virtually) for the Risk function as and when required. Ensuring logistics for each event are in place.
  • Assist project delivery by monitoring and maintaining the status of work programmes by monitoring timescales and those deliverables are progressing to plan. Prepare project reporting materials as required.
  • Onboarding of any new starters, ensuring team organisation charts, distribution lists and Risk Induction packs are kept up to date to support business priorities
  • Initiating payment of invoices/expenses, dealing with queries which arise subsequently, maintaining other Group systems as required ensuring accurate and confidential records are kept in respect of holidays, sickness, expenses, corporate hospitality and entertaining etc in order Group and departments reports are accurate and comply with Group standards
  • Work effectively with wider L&G PA community to ensure there is always highquality support in place and providing cover during absence and periods of high workload to enable continuity and successful delivery in the business area
  • Continually promote and ensure compliance with the Groups Equality and diversity and treating customers fairly policy and procedures
What we're looking for

  • PA experience within a financial services sector is essential
  • Previous experience working with senior managers and teams (ideal)
  • Previous experience supporting Risk, Audit or Legal function (ideal)
  • Strong interpersonal and organisational skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Proactive in dealing with all problems that arise in the relevant leader's absence. Seek proactive resolution and continuously suggest way of improving existing processes.
  • Ability to create a strong internal network
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritising busy work to importance and deadlines and flexible in a continuously changing environment
  • Ability and willingness to grasp new or unfamiliar software quickly when necessary
