Your New Role:
We have a fantastic opportunity for a permanent Highways Administrator to join our Manchester Street Lighting account. This role is based on site at
Amey Office, Factory Lane, Harpurhey, Manchester, M9 8AB.
The salary is up to £25,000 per annum.
Amey maintains and upgrades the street lighting service on behalf of Manchester City Council, which includes a LED replacement programme.
In addition to its work with the council, Amey offers a trade waste service throughout the city to local businesses, retailers and organisations.
The standard hours of work are 40 hours per week

You will be responsible for:
- Taking direction from team members
- Working as part of a team, but also operating independently when required
- Maintaining and updating records within various information management systems
- Inputting into and maintaining spreadsheets/databases/systems and producing reports
- Raising purchase orders and arranging payment of invoices
- Receiving telephone calls and mail and distributing these as appropriate
- General 'team' administrative duties as and when required
- Providing cover for reception when required
- Filing correspondents as required and keeping the office systems in an orderly manner
We want to hear from you if you have:
- Education to a GCSE level (good passes in Maths and English) or equivalent
- Experience of using MS Word and Excel in a general administrative role
- A friendly and professional telephone manner
- A conscientious and confident approach to duties with a polite, pleasant, and helpful attitude
- Able to develop and maintain good working relationships.
