We are delighted to be working with a local authority client, recruiting on their behalf for a HR Assistant, a role that is available on a part time basis._
-
This is a short term demand and commands a standard hourly rate of £13.17 per hour._

Job Descriptions_

  • Provide relevant advice and guidance to managers and staff through a partnership approach on all aspects of recruitment and selection, assessment, appointment and induction, performance management, attendance at work, activities to promote the Service as an 'Employer of Choice' and employee benefits
  • Support in the development and implementation of relevant protocols and practices, ensuring that activities are effectively designed to support organisational aims and needs and ensure compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, regulations and legislation
  • Provide appropriate, reliable and timely advice and guidance, carry a personal caseload and cover the workload of the other Co-Ordinators as required, and promote crossfunctional activities within the wider team
  • Allocate routine administrative tasks to the HR Assistants, ensuring appropriate guidance and support is provided, and all activities are carried out in accordance with the functions policies and procedures
  • Effectively use the relevant management information systems, including the HR / Finance Management Information Systems and the external recruitment portal
  • Assist in supporting change management initiatives in accordance with policy and procedure, contributing to designated special projects as required across the wider team
  • Assist in the analysis, interpretation and quality assurance of all data and information relating to the HR function
  • Responsible for the production of a variety of reports and documents, including the provision of timely monitoring data and information to evidence the provision of a high quality service, across the Service, and identify improvements
  • Participate in development activities to ensure all IT based management information systems are appropriate to the needs of the function
  • Participate in relevant aspects of HR, Equality and Wellbeing activities as required
  • Represent the function at internal and external meetings / events as requested.
  • Responsibility for maintaining own continuous professional development and knowledge of best practice through local and national networking, attendance at internal and external training courses, and other developmental activities as necessary
  • Undertake any other duties appropriate to the post.
