Description
**Our client is the biggest 4x4 dealer in Europe and is the biggest provider of luxury used cars in the UK.
Role Description**You will be responsible for the development, design and implementation of new or modified software and it solutions. The role will also monitor and control the set up of it equipment internally.


Duties & Responsibilities:

- set up workstations with computers and necessary devices
- check computer hardware to ensure functionality
- install and configure appropriate software and functions according to specifications

  • Develop and maintain local networks, ensuring security and privacy of networks is set as needed
- provide orientation and guidance to users on how to operate new software and computer equipment
- organise and schedule upgrades, and maintenance without deterring others from completing their work
- perform trouble shooting to diagnose and resolve problems
- research, design and implement software programs, testing and evaluating their suitability to the business
- identify areas for modification in existing programs
- project manage the implementation and induction of new it software/programs in the business and ensure all delegates are trained and have comprehensive understanding of the system as required

  • Any other duties as instructed by management
  • Review, analyse, develop, and implement system change in a time manner

Person Specification
Must possess a valid UK Driving Licence
- proven experience as an it specialist/ developer/technician or relevant position
- degree in computer science, engineering or relevant field desirable but not essential
- excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- high attention to detail and desire to probe further into data
- excellent communication ability
- the ability to communicate clearly all IT solutions to all employees
- in depth understanding of diverse computer systems and networks
- good knowledge of internet security and data privacy principles
