£24,285 - £27,929 per annum


CAHSS / Edinburgh College of Art / ECA Office

Full-time: 35 hours per week

Fixed-term: 12 months
The Edinburgh College of Art is looking to recruit a Research Finance Administrator on a fixed-term contract.


The Opportunity:


Skills and Attributes for Success:


  • Good standard of education (Vocational qualifications, N/SVQ 3, ONC or equivalent) plus proven relevant experience, or standard grades or equivalent plus proven relevant work experience.
  • Experience of working with financial procedures and systems in a large, complex organisation is required.
  • Demonstrably high standards of customer care and the ability to cooperate and contribute as part of a team.
  • Good written and oral communication skills are as important as good numeracy skills and an eye for detail.
  • Ability to quickly master established procedures and to provide clear guidance and instructions on these to colleagues.
  • Ability to use initiative and a proactive approach to seeking out information.
  • The postholder should be IT literate and adept at using MS Excel.
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills: ability to exercise judgement and initiative to work without direct supervision and prioritise own work within the annual cycle and in response to academicdriven developments.
  • Ability to sustain a high performance whilst under pressure.
