The Role
We are looking for a Business Manager Professional to support Private Bank activities in the UK market.

He/she will be based in London and will report to the UK market's business manager, helping to support the advisor teams and business activity for these markets booked in both London and Luxembourg branches.


He/she will be responsible for ensuring the efficiency of the ongoing business operations as well as for implementing action plans aligned to long term objectives.

The main goal of the Business Manager will be to ensure the efficient deployment of the Private Bank's resources to drive sustainable development and long-term success for the UK markets.


Objectives and Responsibilities:


  • Drive the implementation of the Finance & Business plans for the markets under remit to achieve established growth and profitability objectives
  • Ensure that the business is well equipped to perform its activities (e.g. people, technology, policy and procedures)
  • Ensure adherence of the business operations to the control and regulatory framework
  • Develop business management goals and objectives that eventually tend to profitability and business growth
  • Ensure prompt intervention on upcoming issues
  • Ensure the control framework is aligned to internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators
  • Assess the business performance against benchmarks
  • Lead or pivot projects and action plans aiming to improve the business efficiency as well as to enhance the control framework of the business
  • Ensure that internal and external partners and suppliers perform in line with agreed objectives and service level agreements
  • Work closely with the Market Business Manager based in the UK to provide a consistent and aligned support to the teams
  • Work closely with Market Manager, Investments Team Leader and Client Advisors and support functions on issues resolution
  • Engage relevant departments in implementing process improvements and engaging with other key stakeholders during implementation of new procedures
  • Gather, analyze and interpret external and internal data and draft reports
  • Represent the business in internal forums, committees and boards

Requirements:


  • Bachelor degree or above in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related field
  • Proficient in English
  • Deep understanding of investment products and relevant regulatory framework
  • Relevant experience in the wealth management industry
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment in decision making practices
  • Demonstrate effective presentation, interpersonal, negotiation, communication and analytical skills.
  • Sound understanding of banking financials and wealth management key performance indicators
