As a Defence & Availability Centre (DAC) Analyst, you will support us in defending our systems from attack whilst maintaining their high availability.

You will work within the DAC - our combined Security Operations Centre (SOC) and Network Operations Centre (NOC) to deliver the day-to-day operations of the team.

The DAC team are responsible for leading major incidents, detecting, triaging, and resolving events, managing our threat intelligence activities, ensuring we meet our availability and capacity management targets, whilst maintaining visibility and compliance across the scope of our section's services.


The DAC Analyst role is the eyes and ears of the DAC and its role in providing the GMC's IT monitoring.

Having visibility across all our environments you will be responsible for quickly responding and escalating events and incidents that may affect the defence or availability of the GMC's systems.
