About Our Client:

Great Peterborough based new media and internet company who offer their staff an incredibly stable working environment, with a supportive management team this permanent Accounts Payable Officer role is working in a fun and friendly finance team.

With parking on site this role is site based at their companies offices where their staff enjoy the culture that's been created

Accounts Payable Officer duties and responsibilities;

Monitoring, checking Purchase Ledger invoices onto system.
Ensure all authorised purchase ledger invoices are returned to finance in a timely manner.
Preparation of payment runs.
Set up and maintain supplier accounts.
Provide administration support to the department.
Ensuring all supplier bank details held are correct and verified.
Manage new starters / leavers plus the maintenance of expense claims.
Investigating queries.
Posting journals.
Supplier account reconciliations.

The Successful Applicant:

Accounts Payable Officer experience and characteristics;

A minimum of 2+ years' experience in a similar role AP or PL role
Fast and accurate data entry skills with a keen eye for detail.
Comfortable with learning and developing new systems and processes.
Computer Literate with sound knowledge of Word and Excel.
Previous experience of all round finance roles would be an advantage.
Experience of Sage or Sun accounting packages would be an advantage.
