About the Role:

A fantastic opportunity for a reliable and friendly receptionist to join our team.

As the first point of contact for patients, you will handle enquiries with professionalism and empathy. You will also be responsible for administrative duties such as appointment scheduling and maintaining patient records.

Hours, Salary and Benefits
- £11.44 per hour

This is a part-time role for 27.5 hours per week. You will be working a mixed shift pattern, covering 7.30am-1pm and 1pm-6.30pm, Monday to Friday.


Job Summary

  • As a medical receptionist you will play a vital role as part of a busy team who are the face of the practice.
  • Together with your colleagues you support the clinical team in caring for our patients.
  • The role is varied as no two phone calls are the same and you will be responsible for making sure patients are dealt with in an efficient and friendly manner.

Main Responsibilities and Duties

  • Booking appointments for patients with the appropriate medical professional
  • Dealing with general enquiries from patients and visitors
  • Assisting patients to complete new registration forms
  • Supporting colleagues to maintain an efficient and friendly atmosphere
  • Assisting with any other administration required

About you

  • A customer service professional with a kind and courteous manner.
  • You have high levels of accuracy and understand the importance of getting information correct at all times.
  • You are resilient in the face of difficult situations, offering support and understanding to our Patients.
  • You will be used to a fastpaced environment with a varied task list and tight deadlines.
  • You understand the importance of confidentiality and work efficiently with your colleagues to get the job done.
  • Experience with SystmOne would be an advantage, however full training will be provided.

Essential

  • Experience working with the public, both face to face and over the telephone

Desirable

  • Experience within primary care
