Description
My client is looking for an experienced Materials Controller in the Castleford area.


Key Duties include:

  • Control stock levels of raw materials
  • Control all goods in are received
  • Determine location of all stocks and manage same
  • Maintain computerised stock system (currently MS Excel, progressing towards an ERP system)
  • Allocation of stock to live job demands
  • Control monthly physical stock counts
  • Update stock records and highlight slow moving stocks
  • Raise RM orders when minimum stock levels are reached
  • Raw materials invoice authorisation
  • Raw materials forecasting for longer lead time products
  • Monthly supplier rejection claims
  • Imported goods in booking in with UK freight forwarder
  • Monthly intrastat reporting.
The Person - Key Requirements

  • Experience in stock control, stock take procedures and raw material procurement
  • Good knowledge of procedures and raw materials suppliers
  • Organised & methodical approach
  • Good interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills
  • PC skills (Microsoft Office) and workable knowledge of Sage 200
  • Ability to work to critical deadlines
  • Good knowledge of production process and procedures
  • Flexible attitude to work
  • Assertive.
Monday to Thursday 7.30am - 5.00pm, Friday 7.30am - 2.30pm
