University Commercial Services Plymouth Ltd's (UCSPL) is a wholly owned subsidiary company of The University of Plymouth. UCSP's vision is to enrich the experience of the students, staff and wider community.We aim to create a financially sustainable and professional service, which currently includes Early Years Education and Care, Retail Catering, Hospitality and Events.
We are looking to recruit an individual to a Hospitality Lead role based on the main University of Plymouth campus, primarily situated in the Emdeck Building.
Under the direction of the Culture Strand Supervisor and as a member of the catering operations team, you will provide routine activities to assist in the delivery of a customer focused, cost effective and efficient hospitality catering service.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual to join the company and take on the day to day organisation and delivery of the Hospitality catering service.
You will contribute your skills to maintain the excellent standard of hospitality and delivered catering through efficient and professional customer service.
You will be responsible for the transportation, using a range of company vehicles, of food and drink for hospitality orders and deliver them to various locations on campus.
You must ensure professional preparation and presentation of food and drink for events and functions and set up rooms/events appropriately and with the needs of each function and client in mind.

You must have a high level of professional presentation, take ownership and be friendly, approachable and adaptable in a changing work environment.
A customer-focussed mind-set is essential and a drive to deliver on and exceed students, staff and visitor's expectations. A flexible approach to hours and work is essential, as is adaptability, whilst maintaining high standards at all times. Routine administration and IT skills and financial understanding is required.You should be able to demonstrate you have:
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Able to work alone or as part of a team
- Full manual driving license is essential
- Ability to cope under pressure, in a calm and efficient manner
- Excellent attention to detail
- Good interpersonal skills
