Technical Lead - Milton Keynes (UK Travel) - £35k-£45k per annum

Our client who are a leading laboratory equipment servicing company are actively looking for a Technical Lead to join their business.

Ideally based near to/or within commutable distance of Milton Keynes with some UK Travel.

Role/Purpose:

To proactively and reactively support our field engineering team on technical matters, ensuring implementation of best practice, compliance with requirements and high customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensuring the field engineering team are competent, aligned and focused on raising standards, improving efficiency, driving profitability and delivering best in class customer experience
Attend or supervise the successful completion of all escalated jobs, ensuring customer satisfaction is met and a root cause analysis is undertaken with a "lessons learnt" philosophy.
Management of the workshop function, back to base repairs ensuring operations are fit for purpose and repairs completed in a timely manner.
Using Field Audits and statistical data, ensure a consistent technical standard across our engineering team, identifying and addressing any areas of weakness or development.
Support our sales activity from a technical perspective.
Provide Preventative Maintenance field support as and when required.
Deputise for Service Manager
Contribute and help shape our service delivery for today and tomorrow

Qualities/Experience/Skills

Full UK Driving License
HNC or equivalent in electrical/mechanical engineering
5years field service experience
A continuous and constant improver with an eye for detail and adherence to process
Some people management experience, particularly in developing/training
Flexible and able to multitask
Effective communication at all levels

Package
- £35,000 - £45,000 per annum depending on experience
