Description

Save the Children UK has an exciting opportunity for a collaborative and empowering individual with extensive experience of learning methodologies to join us as our
Senior Learning Facilitator where you will work with colleagues across the whole UK Impact Department, as well as within the Evidence and Learning team.

This role is a Fixed Term Contract until the end of December 2024

About Us
Save the Children UK believes every child deserves a future.

In the UK and around the world, we work every day to give children a healthy start in life, the opportunity to learn and protection from harm.

When crisis strikes, and children are most vulnerable, we are always among the first to respond and the last to leave.

We ensure children's unique needs are met and their voices are heard. We deliver lasting results for millions of children, including those hardest to reach.

About the role

Working across a range of diverse teams, cultures and places, you'll be invited to work in partnership with your colleagues to collaborate and help ensure that this portfolio of learning we capture and the expertise that we hold ultimately leads to practice and policy change which improves the lives of families, across the places that we work as well as those that we don't.

_How _you do this is critically important.

You will lead, but with a light hand, enabling your colleagues, our teams and the department to achieve this goal:
at times connecting, facilitating, developing, coaching, supporting, nudging and commissioning others.

In this role, you will:

  • Enable, coordinate and influence the purpose and effective delivery of the UK Impact Department's range of placebased learning initiatives
  • Identify, facilitate and/or implement improvements to our learning system for placebased work across the UK Impact Department, as well as with our partners and other stakeholders
  • Interpret the practice and influencing objectives of our local placebased communities, to create, lead or facilitate collaborative projects that help them achieve their goals, designing and implementing project plans, timelines, methods and solutions to achieve agreed outcomes.
  • Influence leaders and thematic experts across the department to help shape systems and processes; harness existing skills and knowledge; and ensure any new systems or approaches are embedded.
  • Work with others to ensure that the department builds, holds and expands its networks and knowledge from the wider sector and organisations involved in placebased work; and that this learning then translates into our practice and decisionmaking

About you

To be successful, it is important that you have:

  • Strong relationship-building skills, with an ability to work and communicate across different levels, contexts and places
  • Proven ability to think and communicate strategically, including understanding how a diverse programme of projects or other disparate activity can lead to sustained or systemic change
  • A strong ability to convene, facilitate and enable diverse groups of people to come together, collaborate and work towards a shared goal
  • Commitment to Save the Children's vision, mission and values

What we offer you:

Working for a charity provides one of the best benefits there is - a sense of purpose and reward for helping others.

However, we understand the importance of giving back to our employees to ensure a happy and healthy working environment and work/life balance.

  • We focus on flexibility, inclusion, collaboration, health and wellbeing both in and outside of work.
  • We provide a wide range of benefits which will reward your hard work, motivate you, and inspire you to work to improve the lives of children every day. You can read more about our benefits here.

Note:
This will be agreed with your Line Manager and team. This is intended to be time spent on collaborating with colleagues and relationship building.
