Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical bias) - FMCG - Double Days or Nights - Up to £54,000About the Company
Our client a leading FMCG facility are looking for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their team.
Our client operates a very high safety standards and you will liaise with Shift Managers, Health & Safety Managers and other team members, instilling confidence and taking ownership.
Your remit includes supervising contractor visits and ensuring safe systemsand permits to work.Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical bias) - The Rewards

- NVQ 3 or BTEC qualified multiskilled maintenance engineer with demonstrable experience in a similar role
- Manufacturing experience with evidence of PPM implementation, delivery and control
- Background in a manufacturing environment, print/packaging would be an advantage
- Experienced in Continuous Improvement methodology e.g. 5S, Lean Manufacturing, Root Cause Analysis and Practical Problem-Solving techniques
- Ability to handle stock control, and supplier communication and correspondence via a variety of integrated business systems
- Ensuring all site manufacturing and equipment is fully compliant with respect to technical safety legislation, testing and inspections
- Tracking, analysing and reporting asset reliability performance and issues to identify maintenance and equipment improvement needs
- Leading on asset and equipment technical issues, resolution through fault finding and problem solving with the support of manufacturing resources, OEM's and contract service providers
- Identification of critical spares, ordering and maintaining inventory to agreed stock levels
- Maintaining site and equipment housekeeping in compliance to agreed standards
- Supporting capital project plans including site preparation work, equipment installation and commissioning, technical training and planning and scheduling of asset lifecycle plans.
- Hands on technical support for site improvement initiatives.
