We are looking for a Nursery assistant to join our growing team Monday to Friday.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Operational
- To be a reliable and cooperative member of the team.
- To be conversant with the Early Learning Goals and the Early Years Foundation Stage.
- To observe each child's progress and to report on achievements looking for progression and continuity.
- To foster good working relationships with parents/guardians, staff and outside agencies.
- Assist with the supervision of children at play (indoor and outdoor) and at mealtimes.
- Attend parent's meetings; be involved in fundraising events and promotion of the nursery as required.
- Assist with the care, security and maintenance of all equipment and toys within the nursery.
- Assist with the planning and carrying out of activities in the room.
- Management and upkeep of display boards.
- Collect and tidy away meals from the kitchen.
- Collect stock from stock room
- Assist with the preparation of the nursery for OFSTED inspections and action any recommendations made by the Inspector, in consultation with the Nursery Manager.
- To perform additional duties as assigned by your line manager.
Personnel
- Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required.
- Be responsible for participating in all selfdevelopment activities, including appraisals, supervisions etc.
- Ensure that the room is appropriately staffed at all times.
HEALTH AND SAFETY
- Undertake shared responsibility for health, safety, hygiene and cleanliness throughout the nursery.
- Ensure the general cleanliness of the children at all times.
- Operate the highest standard of hygiene and cleanliness in the bedding and nappy changing area and food service areas.
- Be familiar with all emergency and security procedures e.g. Fire procedures, routines for dropping off and collecting children.
General
- Adhere to all company Policies, including attendance at meetings and any other duty as required.
- Ensure the Company's Equal Opportunities Policy is adhered to at all times.
