PAT Tester / Junior Tool Fitter

up to 28k

Birmingham

Monday - Friday, 07:00 - 17:00
RSD Recruitment are working in partnership with a well established, hire business in order to recruit for their next Service Technician in Birmingham


Main Responsibilities:


  • Conducted routine PAT testing of electrical appliances and hire equipment, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues
  • Conduct inspections to identify potential problems and recommend necessary repairs or replacements
  • Install, assemble, and test new equipment or components
  • Maintain accurate records of service performed, parts used, and time spent on each job
  • Communicate with customers to explain repairs, answer questions, and provide recommendations for future maintenance
  • Adhere to safety protocols and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations

Experience:


  • Experience PAT testing electrical equipment
  • Experience working within the hire / plant industry or similar is beneficial
  • Familiarity with a variety of hand and power tools
  • Knowledge of electrical systems and ability to read schematics
  • Excellent problemsolving abilities
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision

Salary:
Up to £28,000.00 per year
