Senior Engineer / Process Engineer | Sheffield | Salary: Competitive | Monday to Friday

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, this role will manage engineering capability, ensuring that all engineering staff are professionally managed in accordance with company procedures.

This role will provide engineering and technical support to design, managingand leading a number of projects at any one time.


Key responsibilities:

  • Managing and leading projects including the development, review and approvals of technical specifications, drawings and design reports and tender pack
  • Managing current and new project portfolio, designing practical solutions for challenging conditions, monitoring compliance
  • Providing practical solutions based on detailed assessments and analysis
  • Provide input and prepare conceptual detailed engineering designs and engineering studies
  • Work closely with clients from concept design through to completion
  • Deliver a cost effective, high quality and safe approach to design, construction, commissioning and other technical activities on relevant projects
  • Monitor the competence of all Engineers working on projects within the functional discipline and provide functional guidance, direction and briefing
  • Undertake reviews of design and construction activities
  • Effectively communicate and cooperate within a project team to support the achievement of a project brief through the provision of efficient and professional services
  • Share both knowledge and experience with other team members
  • Assist in the collection and analysis of data and reporting KPI's

Requirements:


  • Engineering Degree or significant experience demonstrating appropriate ability to fulfil the accountabilities of the role.
  • Quality systems management experience
  • AS9100 / ISO 900
  • Familiar with working with the confines of PPAP (Production part approval process)
  • Proven experience of the implementation of continuous improvements
  • Good analytical skills, including ERP, MS Systems
  • AutoCAD experience
A forward thinker, someone who is used to working using their own initiative and as part of a team. Experience of complex problem-solving capabilities and be a really strong communicator
