**Job purpose: I am a 13 year old non-verbal, epileptic boy looking for a friend who would be able to take me out and about, mostly whilst my little sister is at gymnastics at the weekend with our mum. Although I do enjoy watching my sister at gymnastics, I would like to do activities that I am interested in too.

I love going to the cinema, swimming, visiting amusement parks where we can go on funfair rides and trips to the beach and woods.

Very occasionally, I would like you to visit me at our family holiday destinations in places like Skegness or Great Yarmouth so we can carry out fun activities there.

Details:

  • Assistance to leave the house days out doing activities
  • Nonverbal but understands what you are saying
  • Uses wheelchair but can walk assisted for short trips.
  • In pads will need changing, uses RADAR key
  • Weekend working

Desirable:

  • Similar interest funfair rides, beach, woods, swimming, cinema.
  • Medically training (although training available)
  • Experience with sign a long (Signsupported communication)
  • Flexible

Essential:

  • Full UK Driving licence


  • Own vehicle

  • Blue badge available
  • Nonsmoker
  • PEG trained Fluid required every couple of hours if not taken in enough orally.


  • First aid trained

  • Knowledge of recovery position essential
  • Epileptic trained
Summary terms and conditions

  • The rate of pay for this position is £11 per hour
  • Hours and times of work: Saturday or Sunday depending on circumstances 9am1pm
  • You will be reimbursed for traveling expenses incurred as part of the role.
  • The annual holiday entitlement for this position will be equivalent to the work I would normally expect to be done during 5.6 consecutive weeks
  • A satisfactory enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check, the cost of which will be covered by the employer
  • Satisfactory references from two referees, one of which must be your current or last employer
  • Completion of a satisfactory probationary period of 3 months
