A speciality Insurance client of mine are looking for a Data Analyst to provide support on Business and Data Analysis activities to strengthen the Data Team to improve decision-making and efficiency by making the best use of its data.


What you will be doing:


  • You will work closely with the business teams to understand their requirements and perform data analysis to assess quality and meaning of data
  • You will provide data solution options enabling the business to transform their processes and make the best use of data
  • You will create/maintain business analysis artefacts like process flows and mapping documents
  • You will support delivery and testing teams in defining scope, testing coverage, validation of test scenarios and any clarifications
  • You will identify and analyse problems and challenges that may affect the successful delivery and adoption of proposed solution into the business

Experience you will NEED:


  • You'll need an understanding of Insurance data and analytics use cases and knowledge on how data can be used to drive business value within insurance
  • An understanding of Business Analysis processes and experience in producing BA artefacts like business process diagrams, mapping documents, etc.
  • Must have an ability to communicate effectively (both verbally and in writing) with a diverse set of business and technical stakeholder groups
  • Must have the ability to lead teams and take accountability for delivery
  • You'll need advanced problemsolving skills and ability to communicate complex ideas effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Experience with Specialty and Reinsurance Modelling data / processes
  • Experience on data visualisation and reporting tools like
    Power BI:
  • Demonstratable interest and awareness in emerging technologies
  • Previous experience as a team lead/scrummaster, experience of Agile and traditional SDLC delivery
