Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial accounting and controls
- Responsible for the purchase ledger for the organisation, preparing journal uploads for review before posting.
- Ensure that direct debits are posted to the financial system and ledgers updated
- Maintain all relevant ledger records relating to suppliers
- Responsible for preparing weekly bank reconciliations across all the entities that the finance team report on.
- Assisting the Deputy Financial Controller to ensure ledgers for all companies are up to date and accurate for month end close down, with control accounts reconciled, discrepancies investigated, mispostings corrected, documenting and improving processesto ensure such errors do not reoccur.
- Support, document and suggest improvements as appropriate to procedures.
Other
- Cover essential/urgent duties of absent colleagues, including inputting invoices, emergency payments etc
- To undertake any other responsibilities appropriate to the level of the role, as delegated by the Financial Controller or Deputy Financial Controller.
- Carry out any additional project work delegated by the Deputy Financial Controller or Group Financial Controller
Your Experience:
- Solid understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles
- Experience using SUN accountancy system is essential.
- Confident, adaptable and ability to work effectively under pressure
- Intermediate Excel skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, an eye for detail and a teamoriented, problemsolving approach
