Description

The BOPPP trial is a national multicentre randomised controlled trial which aims to recruit 1200 participants from hospitals across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

The study - which is BASL-BSG Liver Research Development Group and British Liver Trust endorsed - the trial commenced recruitment in the second quarter of 2019, following activation of a £2.2 million grant awarded by the Health Technology Assessment programme from the National Institute of Health Research (NIHR).

This is a new position and we are seeking to recruit an experienced trial facilitator or administrator to join the BOPPP team to support the Chief Investigator (Dr Vishal C Patel), under supervision of the BOPPP Trial Manager.

This is an administrative position where the post holder will play an essential role to support the conduct, organisation and delivery of this landmark study.

The post holder will work under supervision and independently and follow the policies and procedures for the division, the BOPPP Clinical Trial and Clinical Trial Sponsor.

The post holder will also be expected to use their own initiative and keep line manager and senior colleagues informed.

This post will require flexibility but is a role with lots of variety and ad hoc demands and so the post holder will possess excellent time management, planning and organisation skills.

The post holder will primarily work closely with the BOPPP Chief Investigator, BOPPP Trial Manager and BOPPP Clinical Trial Research Sites; with additional relationships of associated representatives.

The post is based within the offices at Coldharbour Works however, there will be intermittent requirement to travel between the main hospital and the office (~15 minute walk).
