About the role:
Consumer Additions has partnered with an Exciting, Global FMCG Brand in search of a Commercial Finance Analyst to join their London-based team.
You will be responsible for driving top-line income performance by providing commercial decision support to theEurope commercial teams and assisting the Head of Commercial Finance and FD in the execution of their activities.
Requirements:
- Examine business results, and work with European sales teams to ensure they understand the drivers of their results, key trends, and variances.
- Investigate data issues and recommend corrective actions to help salespeople make better decisions.
- Drive insightful and valueadded reporting that prompts a detailed review of monthly performance with business leaders.
- Assist the Head of Commercial Finance in carrying out their responsibilities.
- Collaborate with sales account managers to support results delivery.
- Improve sales pipeline visibility and reporting using SFDC.
- Collaboration with sales, demand planners, and other teams to ensure that forecasts across systems drive the appropriate internal processes and behaviours.
- Support the development of strategic plans and longerterm contracts for key customers, including regional GEAs, by developing financials and advising and challenging the commercial team on underlying assumptions.
- Tenders/Quotes focused on larger, more strategic files, tenders and quotes are prepared and executed.
- Assist sales and product management in setting annual volume and pricing goals ahead of the annual contracting round.
- Before setting prices, ensure that the commercial organisation understands the cost drivers and headwinds, particularly NRM.
- Assist the FD in establishing appropriate category targets by leveraging their inherent knowledge gained through close relationships with commercial teams.
- Provide 'realtime' impact analysis on contracting results to date, ensuring issues are quickly identified, resolved, and consequences quantified, as well as weekly progress reporting.
Responsibilities:
- Chartered Accountant (or similar relevant professional qualification)
- Experience analysing performance and understanding the profitability drivers in a large corporation
- Experience working with imperfect systems and data
- Evidence of successfully partnering with senior management and nonfinance individuals
- First class verbal and written communication skills
- Chartered Accountant (or similar relevant professional qualification)
- Excellent attention to detail
- Logical with strong analytical skills
