Change Communications Specialist

Location:
Cirencester Office - Flexible on location (Hybrid working)


Employment Type:
Fixed-Term Contract (12 month maternity cover)


What you'll be doing:


  • Develop (simple) production and delivery plans in support of change projects
  • Create communications content that reflects the needs of the audience and acknowledges capacity for adoption
  • Provide advice to content owners on consistency of approach and the communications options available to meet their required outcomes
  • Manage an editorial scheduling process where work is planned, communication data is scrutinised and channel options considered
  • Build and maintain relationships with collaborators to develop and improve ongoing communication opportunities
  • Work with editorial and planning to ensure production and delivery runs efficiently.

Who we're looking for:


  • Proven experience in an internal communications environment
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects, selfmanage and prioritise workload
  • Good communicator with excellent allaround writing, editorial and communication skills
  • Experience of Office 365, Sharepoint and Yammer, together with advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills
  • Basic understanding of organisational communications and how to select appropriate channels
  • Excellent planning and organisation skills
  • Experience in developing meaningful communication channels relevant to the audience
  • Ability to review and edit documents for clarity, consistency and quality

Special Requirements:


  • The role is a blend of office and home based, although travel to other locations and events is likely
  • Travel will be required, with occasional requirement for overnight stay
  • Adhoc out of hours may be required for reactive, unforeseen communications needs and cyclical business events.
