Contract Management & Partner Delivery Directorate (CMPD) is a Corporate Team within DWP.The role of CMPD is to ensure that our contracted employment and health suppliers deliver the outcomes the customer needs and the service quality DWP can be proud of.
We play a vital part in shaping the future of contracted employment and health provisionsCurrent CMPD structures include:
- Personal Independence Payment (PIP) and Work Capability Assessment (WCA) auditor roles responsible for quality assuring assessment reports written by our assessment suppliers; and
- PIP and WCA observer roles responsible for quality assuring assessments undertaken by our suppliers.
Through this campaign we are seeking to create a virtual pool of healthcare professionals who will utilise their expertise to identify and help implement improvements across the end-to-end journey as auditor and or observer in respect of PIP or WCA assessments.

Job description:
Personal Independence Payment (PIP) and Work Capability Assessment (WCA) Auditor roles include the following Key Requirements:
- Undertaking clinical audits of PIP and WCA assessment reports produced by the Department's contracted health suppliers and highlighting areas for rework and more general improvement.
- PIP and WCA Observer roles include the following Key Requirements:
- Undertaking regular reviews of assessment delivery by the Department's contracted health suppliers and effectively communicating information and intelligence back to the DWP and Assessment supplier, to help understand and address any issues.
- Review and observe internal and the Department's contracted health suppliers Clinical Governance processes, procedures and standards.
- Provide support to DWP Front Line Delivery to help improve benefit administration from initial contact, decision making through to appeal.
All roles include the following Key Requirements:
- Input into the development of Health Professional capability within DWP and its contracted health suppliers to the highest benchmark standards.
- Leading on elements of strategic and transformative change that impact the team.
- Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement of operational processes in line with DWP's strategic objectives.
- Building and maintaining strong working relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders working across organisational boundaries, including contracted health suppliers.
- Completing a programme of personal and professional development, to meet professional requirements for revalidation and including adherence to the Clinical Governance and Quality Standards Framework.
