Primary SEN Teaching Assistant Benefits

PAYE daily term time rate
Located in Hammersmith (W12)

Primary SEN Teaching Assistant Role

Provide individualised support to students with special educational needs, including those with learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, ADHD, and other challenges
Assist classroom teachers in implementing personalised learning plans and accommodations to meet the diverse needs of SEN students
Foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued, respected, and supported
Support students during transitions between activities, classes, and locations within the school environment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, colleagues, and parents/carers

Primary SEN Teaching Assistant Requirements

1st or 2:1 degree from a top UK university
Previous experience working with individuals with special educational needs is preferred but not essential
A genuine passion for supporting the learning and development of students with diverse needs
Patience, empathy, and resilience in working with students who may face challenges in their learning journey
Flexibility and adaptability to respond to the individual needs and preferences of students
