The National Energy Foundation

The National Energy Foundation is an independent charity based in Milton Keynes, which has been at the forefront of improving the use of energy in buildings since 1988.

We aim to give people, organisations and government the knowledge, support and inspiration they need to understand, manage and reduce the use of energy in buildings.

Role Summary

The Community Engagement Officer will be central to the success of a partnership project which seeks to revolutionise how 'able to pay' homeowners heat and power their homes in the future.

The overriding aim of the project is to facilitate the large-scale transition from homes heated by gas fired boilers over to renewable energy through the installation of heat pumps supported by Government funding.

This key role will be responsible for engaging potential customers; winning their trust and confidence; encouraging them to adopt more sustainable methods of using home energy; supporting customers from onboarding throughout the project life ultimately culminating in retrofit installations.

A significant proportion of the role will take place in the field based in a pre-selected community of over 550 homes near Bicester.

The Community Engagement Officer will be pivotal to the success of the project and as such will need to take an active role in coordinating the delivery of various project activities.

Necessary training will be provided although you will be fully supported by Technical and other specialists. This role is primarily a people focused role.
