Your Role and Responsibilities

Your role will be to work with our customers to deliver Mainframe/Core enterprise projects from complex transformational requirements, using a your knowledge, skill and experience, working on exciting projects ranging from Mainframe traditional through to integration and migration supporting public and private Cloud based engagements.

This is a Mainframe Automation role that provides a fantastic opportunity to operate in a squad to address a diverse mix of large and complex client projects.

With our global Partner Alliances you will have opportunities to work on projects that will integrate with a whole range of technologies from Azure to AWS, GCP or Nutanix.
You will work closely with our clients, our Kyndryl teams, our cloud partners, and our 3rd party service providers, across multiple industries.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

Proactive automation solutions and experience working on client collaboration projects, and technical refresh. Innovative solution design. Patching, testing, upgrades, installation.
Knowledge and experience of z/OS automation products: Eg. IBM Z System Automation, IBM Z NetView, CA-OPS/MVS, IBM Tivoli AF/OPERATOR, BMC Control-O, BMC MainView AutoOPERATOR.
Advanced Rexx programming, PIPE programming.
TSO, ISPF, SDSF, JCL.

- z/OS operation system knowledge.

Problem, Incident & Change Management disciplines.

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience

Coding for Z/OS, expert REXX programming, Tivoli Netview, Systems Automation for Z/OS, WAC ( IBM Worldwide Automation Configurator ), COBOL, RPG, JCL, PROCS. Basic RACF, GDPS.
Peer review of changes/projects.
High scale automation of large mainframe based enterprise. CA OPS/MVS, IBM Tivoli NetView, IBM Tivoli System Automation, BMC Mainview AutoOperator, BMC Control.
IBM Workload Scheduler (IWS) previously TWS.
Basic RACF skills.
GDPS knowledge.
