Summary


The COO Team for Operational Resiliency, CASS and Control is primarily responsible for the day-to-day enablement of the unit's strategy.

The primary responsibility of the COO team is to support the implementation and coordination of the various programs and projects and provide overarching continuity in execution and output.

The COO team works collaboratively to develop and/or improve systems, processes, controls and procedures that improve the overall efficiency of the function and the business.


This role reports to the COO of Operational Resiliency, CASS and Control and acts as a key SME responsible for providing support to the team on Business & Change Management across the key areas of coverage for the 1LoD department.

The role holder will need the ability to manage multiple projects as well as ensuring BAU commitments are fulfilled.


Major Duties- Responsible for oversight of the function which will lead the governance and program management around projects that the CASS, Operational Resiliency and Control are leading / engaged in, supporting the department Objectives & Key Results and identification of key risks and dependencies.- Act as the key point of contact for the review of business change including new products, markets and locations, and performs initial impact assessment to determine the relevant SME team that needs to be engaged across CASS, Operational Resiliency and Control.- Supports complex initiatives involving multiple disciplines and/or ambiguous issues- Identifies opportunities for improvement and the prioritization of change impacting the department.- Supports the review of issues/trend analysis with escalation to the COO and Head of 1LOD for Asset Servicing.- Displays a balanced, cross-functional perspective, liaising with the department to improve efficiency, effectiveness and productivity.- Develops and/or maintains a suite of data-driven, forward-looking metrics based on various information sources to help classify, manage and report on department projects- Develops working relationship with other departments globally, particularly Enterprise Resiliency, the Asset Servicing COO Office, Operations, Risk, Compliance, and IT.- Participates in committee meetings, industry coordination and regulatory relationship meetings as determined by the COO of Operational Resiliency, CASS and Control- Demonstrates flexibility and agility to pivot to new and/or changing organizational priorities- Project management professional with extensive business experience and a focus on program management for projects and initiatives within the group.

Knowledge of the firm and industry, with solid experience in one or more of Control, Operational Resilience or Operational Risk is highly desirable.- Requires good understanding of project management tools- Knowledge of business strategy development, key business change and Risk & Resiliency frameworks such as Operational Resiliency.- Leadership and organizational skills are required to direct the activities across multiple units.- Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.- Has gravitas and ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels- Results oriented with strong collaboration, influencing and data analysis skills.
