Job Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Activities Co-ordinator to join our team at Sunningdale Care Home.

As an Activities Co-ordinator, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents by planning and implementing engaging activities tailored to their interests and abilities.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and oversee a wide range of activities that promotes physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing for senior care residents.
• Organize and lead group activities, outings, and events within the care home setting.
• Collaborate with staff members to integrate activities into daily care routines for residents with dementia care needs.
• Maintain accurate records of activity participation and resident preferences to ensure personalized engagement.
• Create a welcoming and inclusive environment where residents feel valued and supported.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff to promote participation in activities and address any concerns.

Requirements:

• Basic Numeracy and Literacy skills
• A warm and friendly disposition
• Previous experience in senior care, nursing home, assisted living, or similar care settings.
• Strong passion for working with older adults and providing meaningful activities.
• Knowledge of dementia care principles and techniques is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with residents, families, and colleagues.
• Ability to plan, organize, and execute a variety of engaging activities for diverse resident populations.

Job Type:
Part-time


Pay:
£11.44 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week
