This is a full time position

We are looking for a Finance Business Partner with an eye for detail who can also focus on the bigger picture of operational needs in a policing environment.

You will provide a management accountant's insight for our operational colleagues and have the confidence to provide financial challenge whilst being supportive of our organisational Priorities, Vision and Values.


You will have:

  • Experience as a finance business partner.
  • Confident and clear communication skills to work with multiple stakeholders across the organisation.
  • Strong Excel skills and proven expertise of building budgets, forecasting & reporting.


The main purpose of the role is to provide timely, accurate, relevant financial information to a specific allocated group of budget holders, to support effective decision making.

To provide professional support and challenge to their budget holders in the delivery of their financial and budget objectives.

To play an integral part in the overall financial budgeting, monitoring and forecasting for West Mercia Police.


To ensure the effective delivery of financial information to meet the aims of West Mercia Police and comply with legislation, accounting standards and financial regulations.

To ensure effective control of Treasury, Capital, Assets, Taxation and Pensions.


This role is
commutable from Kidderminster, Birmingham, Cheltenham, Gloucester, Hereford, Malvern, Ledbury, Evesham, Redditch, Bromsgrove, Bewdley, Droitwich Spa and Pershore and is
just off junction 6 of the M5.

We are also happy to talk flexible working where it is suitable for the role. This may including some agile working.
