We are currently looking for a Materials Assistant to join our team in our award-winning business in Auchincruive, Ayr.

What you'll be doing:

  • You will assume responsibility for raising, processing and receipt of purchase orders within the department, liaising with other departments to ensure information is accurate and correcting any discrepancies.
  • You will assume responsibility for processing work orders within the department.
  • You will liaise with the Procurement department regarding price increases and be responsible for data entry of all incoming products or services.
  • You will be managing group purchasing inboxes as well as logging observations and nonconformances in Q Pulse.
  • You will tie up monthly statement for credit card purchases and update data in various reports and systems.
  • You will assume the responsibility of processing Lexington direct delivery sales order and miscellaneous requisitions.
  • You will manage the process of new supplier information being collated from suppliers and internal departments.
  • You will request relevant information and documents from engineers/visitors.
  • You will arrange raw material samples from suppliers for validation purposes.
  • You will be responsible for managing the group purchasing inboxes.

About you:

  • You'll have experience in using SAGE 200 & QPulse
  • You'll have strong communication skills
  • You'll be able to prioritise work load
  • You will have a keen attention to detail and organisation skills
  • You'll have knowledge of excel and other Microsoft packages
  • You'll have previous administration experience
  • You'll be able to work well within a team
