Description

We are looking for a site based Sub Agent reporting to the Project Manager delivering the Wear High Level Footbridge across the River Wear in Sunderland.

The bridge is a 250m long by 10m wide steel and concrete composite box girder bridge with 30m of clearance to river level.

The bridge is supported on 2 x 25m high concrete bridge piers and 2no insitu concrete abutments. The bridge deck is constructed using several precast deck units with an insitu concrete tie in detail.


Key accountabilities:


  • HSEQ performance at site level to support site team.
  • Package management of high value subcontract packages for insitu and pre cast concrete.
  • Quality performance at site level regarding standards of both workmanship and documentation.
  • Managing the performance of site engineering teams.
  • Support management of supply chain during construction: progress, coordination and feedback
  • Responsible for the production, review and monitoring of construction methodology documentation including RAMS and ITP's to ensuring compliance with the company's quality management system and the employers requirements.
  • Responsible for production of asbuilt documentation from site.
  • Responsible for the adherence of project team to information management procedures and requirement.

Skills & experience:


  • Previous experience of high quality insitu and pre cast concrete structures.
  • Experience in managing and planning lifting operations.
  • Performing the role of a temporary works supervisor or exposure to implementing temporary works solutions.
  • Management of safe systems of works and quality management.
  • Implementation of Permit to Excavate, Permit to Load and Strike and Services coordination.
  • Excellent IT knowledge including use of AUTOCAD and Microsoft suite.
  • Degree/HNC, or equivalent, in civil engineering desirable.
  • 35year previous civil structures experience
  • Ability to challenge designs and resolve problems to conclusion.
  • Full Driving Licence.
  • Appointed Person for Lifting Operations
