Head of Residential Childcare Services

Location:
Bishops Stortford (On-Site)


Contract:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
£60,000 - £63,000 per annum


Tide Partnership is excited to partner with a health and social care charity dedicated to supporting children and young people, in their search for a Head of Residential Childcare Services.

This role offers the chance to lead, innovate, and make a lasting impact in the lives of young individuals in need of care and support.


Role Overview:


As Head of Residential Childcare Services, you'll be at the forefront of delivering exceptional care, steering the operational direction, and ensuring each young person receives tailored support.

You'll work closely with the Executive Team to align residential services with strategic goals, ensuring compliance with Ofsted and Quality Standards for Children's Homes.


Responsible for (but not limited to):

  • Strategically develop Children's Services, ensuring excellence in care and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Lead and support the Registered Managers of 7 homes, promoting a culture of highquality management and development.
  • Support admissions, ensuring practices align with the needs of the children and young people.
  • Act as the Safeguarding Lead, ensuring all practices meet the highest standards of care and safety.
  • Drive quality assurance across the service, ensuring care exceeds Ofsted standards.
  • Engage with stakeholders to enhance the service's profile and develop effective partnerships.

We're Looking For:


  • A strategic thinker with a proven track record in leading residential childcare services.
  • Experience in managing and developing teams within a regulatory framework.
  • Strong understanding of the needs of children and young people with additional needs/disabilities.
  • Excellent knowledge of relevant legislation, standards, and the ability to implement these effectively.
  • A commitment to promoting the welfare of children, with the resilience to manage challenging situations.
  • Holds a Level 5 in Leadership & Management (or equivalent)
