Strategic People Partner - 6 months FTC, Hybrid, London


We have a fantastic short-term requirement within our People Team - The Strategic People Partner acts as the key People advisor to the relevant Executive and their management team, offering guidance and support on a wide range of People plans and initiatives including talent management, employee relations, colleague engagement, change and organisation design, performance management, succession planning and all people related activities which support deliver to overall strategy and business planning goals.


Key Accountabilities

  • Builds positive and effective strategic business partnering relationships with internal clients at Executive Management and Senior Leadership level, acting as trusted advisor to Executive and senior leadership
  • Ensures clear understanding of Pay.
UK and its' various business units including strategic aims and goals, organisational risks and business goals

  • Responsible for navigating and advising on all employee relations matters for their Directorate(s) providing oversight to ensure effective balancing of individual and organisational needs, ensuring complex case work is mitigated and effectively maintained to avoid legal risk
  • Facilitates and supports Directorates to deliver on key people processes including performance, talent management, recruitment and selection, reward, recognition and employee experience, ensuring a robust, fair and consistent approach
  • Supports progressive modifications and assesses conventional practices in workforce leadership, reinforcing and securing managerial accountability to enhance and augment operative and organisational results
  • Works with the Head of People Operations to actively promote and implement People strategies and policy as new Company priorities are identified
  • Lead on development of various People initiatives in support of the People Strategy developing, supporting and contributing to key HR projects as necessary
  • Provides clear interpretation and communication of Corporate and Directorate level data and performance metrics, enabling grounded and outcomefocused initiatives within the Directorate.
  • Works with relevant stakeholders to support the effective management of Directorate headcount budgets, to ensure commercial and effective cost management
  • Provides advice and support on relevant organisational development and organisational design for their Directorate(s), ensuring solutions identified to meet both individual and organisational needs
  • Support the Head of People Operations and when required, the Chief People & Culture Officer in presenting people updates at Executive & Board Committees

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

  • CIPD qualified (Chartered Member) or equivalent
  • Prior HR business partnering experience, especially in sophisticated or compliancebased settings, is valued
  • Experience of conducting the full spectrum of People activities for multiple and complex functions
  • Proven experience of developing and coordinating end to end people organisational change and in complex environments (including organisational design, restructuring and TUPE)
  • Experience and competency in understanding, interpreting, and communicating procedures, policies, information, ideas and instructions
  • Experience in handling complex employee relations cases from end to end
  • An ethical, insightful and professionally courageous practitioner who can secure engagement and buy in for Peopleled initiatives
  • Enhanced communication and influencing skills, understanding the responsibilities senior leaders face to influence effective business led decisions.
  • Experience of change and transformation and project delivery
