A Clerical Officer/Clerk Typist is responsible for providing clerical/typing support to the Managers, Team Leaders and staff, whilst working as part of the team

Providing general clerical duties that support the department


These include:
Photocopying

Filing

Faxing

Telephone enquiries from all sources Contacting staff

Screening and sorting of internal and external mail

Word processing

Excel

E-mails

Typing and collating information on a weekly basis.

Ensure that all Requisitions/orders are authorised by Managers and dispatched to the appropriate department.

Maintaining training records via computer and file.

Arrange room bookings for meetings and meetings as and when required.

Provide a booking service internally and externally.

Ensure that enquiries from staff, patients and visitors are dealt with promptly and efficiently.

To assist with maintenance of office equipment and to ensure adequate supplies/ stationery.

Welcoming visitors and staff to the office for meetings. Dealing with queries from Health Board employees and outside organisations.


The completion of hard copy and electronic documentation including printing of pre type set labels in accordance with legislation and Departmental Policies and procedures, as directed.

To assist in the collation and recording of waste for all service areas.
