Location:
Aberdeen (Hybrid Working)


Salary:
£30k - £40k + Pension + 33days Holidays + Membership to Legal Access Scheme


The Client:

Our client is a leading provider of data science and predictive analysis services for the oil and gas industry.

The company work closely with oil and gas operating companies as a remote extension of their asset teams; helping them to solve complex problems,improve efficiency, reduce costs and mitigate risks by making better use of their operational data.


The Role:

The
Data Scientist will be required to design, build, deploy and maintain numerous AI/ML products, tools and technologies.

This role will be involved in the building, maintaining, testing and deployment of in-house models used in their digital solution/productsand emissions AI solutions.

Additionally, the Data Scientist will be required to provide analysis of large quantities of data, identifying anomalies, trends, and areas of further investigation while constantly looking to implement efficiency savings in existingoperational processes.


Skills & Qualifications:


  • Be qualified on or above BSC in Data science / applied analytics or similar
  • Possess knowledge and experience of statistical modelling techniques and the development of mathematical algorithms
  • Have a proven ability in big data analysis and be able to identify anomalies and trends using a range of methodologies

Responsibilities and Duties:


  • Support the companies Service delivery by undertaking daily analysis as assigned by the VP Data Science
  • Support the deployment, maintenance, and testing of their digital solution and emissions AI solutions
  • Support the undertaking of complex data analytics studies

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Successful experience of teamworking
  • Proficient in Python and/or R (other programming languages beneficial)
  • AI / Machine learning experience advantageous
  • Software development experience advantageous
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Oil & Gas experience advantageous
