Description

Community Mental Health Services in Harrow have undergone transformation and are pleased to announce the Harrow Community Mental Health Hub.

The Adult Mental Health Community redesign is part of an initiative to improve the quality of care received by people with mental health needs in their local community.

The national direction of travel, outlined in the NHS Long Term Plan, is towards the provision of more integrated, personalised and place-based care.

Harrow Community Mental Health Hub, based in Harrow and Wealdstone is looking for a passionate mental health practitioner (RMN/OT/SW) who is looking to make a difference whilst working in an environment that promotes staff development and training opportunities.

CNWL is passionate about developing its own staff, driving them to go on to become more established practitioners and this post is no different.

Harrow is a pioneering service in Trauma Informed Approaches and all staff receive ongoing training in this area.

Post holders will need to:

Have an excellent knowledge of Mental Health conditions, therapies and current mental health legislation.

Be able to deliver care and treatment for service users within the Community Mental Health Hub, primarily supporting people diagnosed with severe and enduring mental health illness.

Have a flexible, multi-disciplinary approach and have a solid understanding of risk assessment, care planning and the recovery model. You will also need to be able to offer support and advice to less experienced colleagues.

We are passionate about delivering first-class patient-centred, safe and effective care, whether it is in a hospital setting, in a community clinic or in the patients own home.

Patients are at the heart of everything we do. Providing top quality care depends on our ability to employ the best people.

Were always looking to recruit outstanding people who will go the extra mile to support our patients, colleagues, teams and the Trust.

With every new employee were hoping to find our future leaders and well support our staff by providing opportunities to develop your career.

With a diverse culture and equally diverse range of opportunities across mental health, community services, addictions, eating disorders, learning disabilities and more whatever stage of your career you're at, there's always a place for you at CNWL.

The successful applicant may have contact with patients or service users.

As an NHS Trust we strongly encourage and support vaccination as this remains the best way to protect yourself, your family, your colleagues and of course patients and service users when working on our healthcare settings.
