Job overview

Due to department promotions, we are looking for enthusiastic and organised individuals to join our rotational Pharmacy Dispensary service.


Under the supervision and support of a Pharmacy registered professional, the role will assist the Dispensary team to deliver a safe and high-quality service to our patients and customers.

We are looking for a team player with a professional outlook who can demonstrate good customer service skills.

The post holder will work rotationally at both the Queen's Medical Centre and City Hospital campus sites. Full in house training will be given.

Main duties of the job


We are looking for applicants who are eager to learn, able to organise and prioritise their own work to meet deadlines and use their own initiative.

Applicants will be expected to complete a Buttercups qualification in Pharmacy Services (if not already obtained).

A high level of concentration is required for long periods of time. You will need to be committed and adaptable to change.

A positive image of the Trust Pharmacy department should be demonstrated at all times while showing a commitment to support the organisation's values and behaviours.

Essential criteria

  • Able to undertake the Buttercups Dispensing Couse if not already in possession of the qualification
  • Able to achieve competencies for job role including in house training and validations
Desirable criteria

  • Possession of or working towards NVQ level 2 in Pharmacy Services and BTEC or a Buttercups Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship
Experience

The quoted salary will be on a pro rata basis for part time workers.
