Responsibilities:

This is a customer facing role to provide our clients with high quality Procurement Support covering the full spectrum of procurement services.

You will be running procurement activities on behalf of or alongside client key stakeholders in an advisory role.

This includes:
managing and driving down total acquisition costs, strategic sourcing, developing supporting documentation and contract negotiation.

Customer and supplier meetings and training sessions will be part of the role in the medium to long term soan enthusiasm for meeting people and driving stronger relationships is essential.

Skills Desired:

End to end Procurement/Sourcing experience
Experience managing spend and services within Professional Services category
Ability to manage 'big ticket' (i.e. high spend, risk and/or complexity) sourcing projects
Responsibility for owning and delivering the category strategies including savings and benefits
Develop and implement SRM strategies with key suppliers and mitigate risk across third party suppliers
Good negotiation skills
Track record of achieving cost savings and offering commercial advice to achieve better value for money
Building strong relationships with Stakeholders in order to effectively manage their needs
Act as a trusted advisor to the business and provide category expertise, leadership and ownership across the Professional Services category
Drive continuous improvement and innovation across the assigned category of spend
Support on regulatory reporting activities for COO
Must be a proactive and confident individual, eager to develop their skills within the purchasing department and display enthusiasm for career progression within procurement
Strong organisation skills and ability to manage multiple activities at the same time
Attention to detail for creating and presenting documents to clients and SLT
Fantastic people and communication skills with a strong ability to collaborate with people at all levels of a business

Experience:

Minimum 5 years' procurement experience with businesses
Must have a proven track record of achieving results with the ability to perform to demanding deadlines
Degree Level or Equivalent or relevant work experience
Demonstrable examples of achieving cost savings on behalf of employer(s) and/or custom
CIPS qualified or working towards MCIPS
